Four Different Types of Restylane and What They Do
14 Mar
Unlocking the secrets to a more youthful appearance involves finding the right combination of treatments tailored to your specific needs. Among the array of options available, Restylane stands out as a trusted name in nonsurgical cosmetic enhancement. From smoothing out wrinkles to enhancing lip contours, Restylane offers solutions to rejuvenate your appearance with minimal downtime.
What is Restylane Defyne?
Restylane Defyne is an injectable, nonsurgical dermal filler that contains hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in your body. Given its natural properties, hyaluronic acid is the most popular injection choice of cosmetic surgeons because there is no chance of rejection. Naturally, hyaluronic acid is responsible for adding moisturizing nutrients to your skin.
Similarly, Restylane Defyne adds volume and hydration to the sections of the skin in which it is injected. It’s more viscous than other Restylane dermal fillers, so its chief use is in correcting deep-set and moderately deep wrinkles and lines in your face.
What is Restylane Lyft?
Restylane Lyft is specifically designed to smooth moderately deep lines and wrinkles in the middle of your face. It’s thick, too, but it’s not as thick and viscous as Restylane Defyne. Similar to other dermal fillers, Lyft is both injectable and formed from hyaluronic acid.
The particular formula of Restylane Lyft draws moisture from the body to the location where it’s injected to help plump the skin at the site of injection. To help with post-procedure pain, Restylane Lyft contains lidocaine, making it as comfortable as possible to smooth your wrinkles without surgery.
What is Restylane Refyne?
Restylane Refyne is formulated to allow for the most natural facial movements after treatment. The gel is balanced between high and low viscosity to achieve this effect. Restylane Refyne generally lasts a year before you need another procedure. You’ll see results right away with Restylane Refyne.
Like Restylane Lyft, Refyne is for the middle of your face– especially for the space between your nose and mouth and your mouth and chin. Given its popularity in use around the mouth, the balanced nature of the gel is carefully designed to let your mouth move naturally while speaking or singing so that it doesn’t look overdone.
What is Restylane Silk?
Restylane Silk is for your mouth and lips only. As its name implies, it’s smoother than Restylane’s other dermal fillers, making it just right for the contours of the lips themselves. Because of its smoother consistency, it generally only lasts six to eight months.
More than three in four patients report satisfactory results at the six-month mark. Like Restylane Lyft, Restylane Silk is infused with a small amount of lidocaine, which makes the procedure as pain-free as possible.
Possible Side Effects
Usually, the only side effect that you’ll experience is a small amount of swelling, but some patients will also notice bruising and tenderness– lasting pain and/or itch is rarer but does happen. Fortunately, these side effects are generally mild and easily corrected.
