Many of the benefits associated with the Morpheus8 have to do with our ability to customize all aspects of treatment. For instance, we can select the Morpheus8 handpiece for smaller treatment areas, such as under the eyes and along the jawline. Alternately, we may choose the Morpheus8 Body handpiece to treat larger areas, such as the back, abdomen, butt, and knees.
Additionally, we can tailor the types of needles used to deliver the RF energy to the treatment site, based on your skin type, the area to be treated, and the depth at which the RF penetrates the skin. Depending on the needle that is chosen, treatment can provide controlled, therapeutic heating superficially, intermediately, or deeply. For these reasons, our Bend Morpheus8 patients with Skin Type I (very fair, never tans) to Skin Type VI (very dark, always tans) can still be safely treated.

What To Expect
Treatments are quick, not invasive, and generally well tolerated with numbing topicals or Pro-Nox Nitrous Oxide. We also control the settings for your utmost comfort. You may feel mild pressure or dull discomfort as the applicator delivers RF energy. Due to the design of the Morpheus8 technology, treatment can be completed quickly – in around 15 to 60 minutes (depending on the size of the area to be treated). It is not uncommon to experience some redness, itching, and swelling. These side effects typically resolve in around one to three days.
This is a true “no-downtime” procedure. We may recommend specialized skin care, as medical-grade products penetrate deeply into the skin due to the needles’ creation of micro-channels. As with many other aesthetic procedures, it is critical to avoid excessive sun exposure and to protect your skin from UVA-UVB light after treatment. While every patient is different, generally, it takes a series of three microneedling treatments spaced about four to six weeks apart to get the results that you desire. Since the system triggers beneficial processes deep within the skin, it can take three months to see full results – though our patients think it is well worth the wait!
Also, they often see a noticeable improvement to lines and scars within a few days, with improved skin tightness and contouring revealing itself around three weeks post-procedure. Results are long-lasting; all that is needed to sustain stunning improvement is annual “touch-up” treatments.
